Fernando Gallegos

Baseball and Physical Trainer

Coach Fernando’s passion for baseball has been the driving force behind his successful athletic career and his dedication to coaching. His talent and commitment to the game earned him an athletic scholarship to California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education. During his two years at CSUDH, Fernando made a significant impact on the field, hitting an impressive .345 over 80 games. His outstanding performance earned him recognition, including DAKTRONICS 2nd Team West Region NCAA Division II honors and 2nd Team ABCA/All-CCAA Division II honors.


Following his collegiate success, Fernando signed with the Chicago White Sox Organization, marking the beginning of his professional baseball career. He also played for the Toros de Tijuana, where he spent four years in the minors as a pitcher. Over his time in the minors, Fernando compiled a solid 6-4 record with 116 strikeouts in 112 innings, showcasing his skill and determination on the mound.

Throughout his playing career, Fernando was always eager to share his knowledge of the game. This passion for teaching and mentoring led him to a rewarding coaching career. Over the past 10 years, Fernando has accumulated extensive experience training baseball and softball players of all ages, from youth leagues to advanced athletes. His deep understanding of the game, combined with his hands-on experience, allows him to effectively coach players in both technical skills and mental preparation.
